This collection contains biographical materials; correspondence--personal and professional; North Central Weed Control Conference materials, records, minutes, and committee reports; Weed Science Society correspondence and conference materials; lecture and seminar papers; research data, field books, reports, analysis and summaries; abstracts; reprints and manuscripts; Development Advisory Team training manual. The correspondence is largely professional and pertains to soybeans, corn, herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, and inbreeding. The correspondence also demonstrates Staniforth's close involvement in Iowa State University's relations with the petrochemical and agricultural-chemical manufacturers. The later papers indicate an international interest and recognition. Foreign interests included New Zealand, Costa Rica, Latin America, Ecuador, England, the Soviet Union and Europe.
